Keeping your Wife Happy

The Prophet (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ) had a deeper understanding of marriage and love than anybody else, and you can improve your own by adhering to his sunnah in this area. He thought that a marriage’s status may be improved by utilizing moral behavior and good character.

Maintaining your spouse’s happiness is the most crucial factor in maintaining a successful marriage, and our Prophet always made an effort to improve his relationships with his wives by ensuring their happiness.

The Prophet Muhammad (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ) said,

“The believers who show the most perfect Faith are those who have the best behavior, and the best of you are those who are the best to their wives.”

Treat your wife with generosity and kindness

All of the Prophet’s (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ) wives were treated equally and with the highest respect. Always keeping them ahead of himself, he catered to their wants. He was always quick to express how much they mean to him. Always be kind to her and show them how important they are. Be courteous, considerate, and kind with the women in the family.

Give her credit for her efforts

Prophet Muhammad صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ never failed to show appreciation to his wives and their contributions towards the family. Be it any contribution such as cooking, taking care of the children, or supporting him in his daily activities, his wives were fully acknowledged for everything. His wives were always treated with great honor and appreciation without taking their efforts lightly. The Prophet (PBUH) always said thanks to Allah (SWT) for them and the help they were able to provide him with. He also sought out their companionship and tended to give support when he thought it was required. Kindness was exhibited in these interactions and so, too, had he shown that he was willing to give support in return.

Assist her with everyday tasks

Prophet Muhammad (SAW) was constantly there for his wives, helping them with home work and providing assistance. In addition to working independently, he assisted with housework and cooking. Help them wherever and however you can; don’t allow the spouses be the only ones responsible for this. Collaborate to build and manage your house. The guy who assists his wife with home chores is rewarded by Allah (SWT).

Pray for her and with her

The importance of group prayer has been emphasized by our prophet. The husband’s responsibility is to lead his wife in prayer. Together, receive blessings from Allah (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ)so that you can enter Jannah. Offer up prayers just for her. Express gratitude to Allah (SWT) for her and offer up constant prayers for her well-being.

Give her a surprise gift

As a sign of gratitude in a partnership, gifts are given. Gifts don’t have to be materialistic; they can be any extra effort you put forth. Prepare meals for her; obtain items for her without her having to ask; give her unexpected presents; and feed her by hand. A man will be rewarded for all of his charitable contributions to his wife, parents, and kids. As a sign of his affection for Aisha (RA), Prophet Muhammad (SAW) used to feed her by hand.

Use kind words and gestures

The Prophet Muhammad (SAW) never yelled at his wife. He treated them gently at all times. To make them feel unique, he gave them endearing nicknames, such as “Humaira” for Aisha (RA). He frequently kissed them on the forehead as he entered and exited the house as a sign of his love and affection.

Show her compassion

Throughout his life, Prophet Muhammad (SAW) emphasized forgiveness. He showed forgiveness to those who could not be forgiven. He stressed the need of showing love and mercy to your spouses whenever they make mistakes. He never acted hastily and always ignored their errors in public while gently correcting them in private.

Give her a sense of security

When a woman marries a guy, her responsibilities fall under his authority. He has an obligation to keep her safe and secure at all times. Always act as though you’re a door she can open in times of need.
